To Be Thankful

Often we find ourselves not thankful, not appreciative, of all the things we do have.  We don't focus on what is right in front of us, but we focus on what we don't have that we wish we had.  Every one of us has something amazing to give thanks for, to be proud of, to think about and really just feel glad about.
I am thankful for my heath.  I haven't always been the healthiest but have really focused this year on getting myself back after giving to others.  I am thankful for the chance to change myself so I can do more for others.
I am thankful for my two beautiful, smart, amazing little boys.  They make me laugh and cry and stare in amazement every day.  They are so wonderful.  Life before them was just, something else.  I am so very blessed.
I am thankful for Greg, for working hard and going to school to better himself.  I am so proud of him, every day, for doing what needs to get done and we often forget to tell him thank you.  I think he has found his path and it makes me so happy to see him excited about his future.
I am thankful for second chances.  I am thankful for books.  I am thankful for my talents and skills I have let lie dormant too many years and am now getting back into in a big bad way.
I am so thankful for my mom and my dad and my three amazing brothers.  You are all such amazing people.  You make me laugh and make me cry.  Make me realize what family really is.  We might all be a little crazy, or a lot crazy, but we love each other no matter what.  We are always going to be family.  I love you all.

So, here's to big fat turkey, sweet potatoes, cranberries and pumpkin pies.  Or whatever your version of Thanksgiving involves.  Even if you don't celebrate.  Take a moment and be grateful.  Let the spirit of Thanksgiving be in every day.  Never forget to give thanks.

Rotary Ouchie

Don't let the cute pink rotary cutter fool you.

That blade is sharp.
